QFT Belfast

When Emma-Louise and Tim first got in touch with us about their film theatre wedding in Belfast,  we were so excited – they were planning a stylish Rock 'n' Roll wedding with alternative music, a live band and lots of fun personal touches. Emma-Louise and Tim are such a lovely couple with hilarious personalities, we couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding, especially with such an alternative theme!

The I do's

We arrived before the ceremony as the boys were putting the finishing touches to the ceremony venue, which took place in the QFT in Belfast,  a small independent film theatre just outside the city centre.  They embraced the film theatre surroundings and had popcorn and movie style elements in their decor.  The ceremony itself took place in Screen 1 and in true rock princess fashion Emma-Louise entered to Metallica! The ceremony was beautiful, with the readings from close friends and guests eagerly watching from the seats.

After the ceremony we left the happy couple to mingle with their guests, before everyone headed on to the reception  they were showered with colourful pom-pom confetti ( we have to say this was such an awesome idea for alternative confetti and it looked amazing)

We also made use of the amazing theatre space to get some photos of the bridal party and Emma- Louise and Tim on their own.

Waiting outside was the couples choice of transport, a vintage 1957 Chevrolet! The bright red colour matched Emma Louise’s hair so perfectly and it looked so friggin awesome driving through the streets of Belfast to their next stop.

We had chatted to the couple about where they would like to have photos taken and the mentioned visiting some of their favourite spots in the City Centre. We took them on a whirlwind adventure through the city, stopping of at the Oh Yeah Centre to get creative on their roof top and finishing with a pint in the bar that the couple had had their first date all those years ago. The exact table they had sat at was available, so we stepped outside and let them enjoy the moment together and soak in those just married feels!

The Reception was held in Ten Square right in the heart of the city Centre of Belfast.  Guests were treated to an array of amazing food, plenty of space to chill and views of Belfast to die for!

The night ended with Tim and his band ( Roscos Riot) performing for guests! It was the most amazing way to end a truly rock n roll day!
