She Surprised Him with an Anniversary Session at Kinbane Castle—And It Was Magic

When Kaylynn reached out to book a couples session during their whirlwind trip to Ireland, she had one very specific request:

“Don’t tell Lucas.”

Yep—this session was a complete surprise. Lucas had no idea what was coming until I pulled up in the Kinbane Castle car park and Kaylynn turned to him with that cheeky “Surprise!” grin. And honestly? From that moment on, the day just unfolded like a dream.

One Location, Endless Feels

Kinbane Castle is a bit of a hidden gem—off the beaten track, a little wild, and a LOT photogenic. The trek to get down there is no joke (we’re talking steep steps and that classic Northern Irish wind in full force), but once you’re in, you're in. Waterfalls, castle ruins, rugged cliffs, crashing waves, and a sweeping promontory that feels like something out of a fantasy novel—Kinbane has it all.

We kept it simple with just this one location, and honestly? We didn’t need anything else.

Their Energy? Effortless.

Kaylynn and Lucas were so beautifully connected. The kind of love that feels steady but playful—like they just really get each other. From the softest forehead kisses to full belly laughs as the wind whipped around us, they made the whole thing feel like I was just tagging along on an epic date night.

Kaylynn wore the most stunning deep red dress that moved with every gust of wind like it was meant to be photographed here. Lucas matched her calm with quiet strength. And together? They were fire.

Why I Love These Sessions

These are the kinds of shoots I live for—full of connection, laughter, and adventure. There's something magic that happens when couples take a moment to just be together, no pressure, no posing, no big production. Just love, raw and real, in an unreal setting.

Thinking About Booking Your Own?

Whether you're surprising your partner, celebrating an anniversary, or just want to remember what this chapter feels like—these sessions are for you. You don’t need a reason. Just a wild heart, a sense of adventure, and maybe a blanket for the cliff breeze.
