Aspen & Brian’s Golden Hour Engagement Session on the Causeway Coast

When two people bring this much joy, good light just shows up.

Aspen and Brian travelled from the U.S. on a whirlwind tour of Ireland, and they made a stop on the Causeway Coast to meet me for their engagement session. And wow, did we make magic.

From Dunseverick Castle to the legendary Giant’s Causeway, we wandered, climbed, explored, laughed, and ended the evening wrapped in the most unreal golden sunset. This session was a full-on love letter to good vibes, epic locations, and that glowy, golden-hour light I’m always banging on about.

Fun, Playful, Fully Themselves

Aspen and Brian have the kind of energy that makes everything feel like an adventure. Sweet, silly, up for anything, and totally wrapped up in each other—basically, a dream to photograph. One minute we were dancing on cliffs, the next sharing ice cream like a scene out of a rom-com (and yes, it was just as cute as it sounds).

They didn’t just show up for photos—they showed up for the moment. That “hell yes” energy is what brings the magic.

Why Timing Matters

Golden hour on the Causeway Coast hits different.

We planned their session around the light (always a smart move), and it paid off with one of the most breathtaking sunsets I’ve seen in ages. The soft warm glow lit up the cliffs and wrapped them in that cinematic, oh-so-romantic feel you just can’t fake.

If you’re thinking of booking a session here, do yourself a favour and time it with golden hour. Trust me—it’s worth it.

The Magic of the Causeway Coast

We started our adventure near Dunseverick Castle ruins, wandered the grassy cliffs, walked hand-in-hand over the stones of the Giant’s Causeway, stopped for a cheeky cone, and wrapped up the session with an epic sunset. It’s hard to describe the beauty of this place—but these two brought the fire that matched the setting sun.
